Our Hiring Process
At EGW, you'll work with experienced staffing professionals who will help you find a Good Job that suits your skills, interests and career goals:
- Application
You may submit your resume online, or apply in person at one of our branch offices. Your resume will be reviewed by a personnel supervisor. If you meet our hiring criteria and demonstrate a strong work ethic, we will call you for an interview.
- Interview
We will conduct a one-on-one interview to assess your interests, experience, career goals and work preferences. During the interview, we will review your work history and identify assignments or positions that may be right for you.
- Paperwork and ID Documents
You will be asked to complete State and Federal Tax forms, as well as the Federal I-9 form. When completing the I-9, you are required to supply acceptable identification.
- Testing
Testing is required of all candidates. You will complete one or more assessments, depending upon your skill set and interests.
- Reference Checks / Background Check / Drug Screen
In addition to our own screening, we follow the customized screening requirements of our clients. We may contact up to three previous employers to verify dates of employment and work performance. We may also conduct criminal background checks for disqualifying convictions. Because EGW is a drug-free workplace, we conduct drug screens right in our office, when applicable.
- Orientation
Once you are hired, you will undergo a new employee orientation. We will explain everything you need to know about becoming an EGW employee, including: payroll, benefits, types of opportunities available, our expectations, and how to keep in touch with us.
